Bunny Ears
Bunny Ears is a flash fiction story featured in The Utrecht Pigeon’s Spring 2026 issue, Thaw. Bunny Ears is about a young girl who has a troubled home life and struggles to communicate with others. Her parents love her, but are stressed and overwhelmed by her behavioral issues. When her occupational therapist shows her compassion and kindness while showing her how to tie shoelaces, she is shaken to her core.

A Hero’s Swan Song
A Hero’s Swan Song is a short story set in an apocalyptic world inspired by Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, A Hero’s Swan Song tells the tale of two siblings navigating through the harsh conditions and leaning on each other in order to survive.
This piece was originally written and published in Northern Arizona University’s student-run magazine, The Tunnels Magazine, in April 2017.
